Twisted Creek Ranch Community
Oncor had a series of open community meetings in early June 2025. These were just information Q&A meetings. No decisions were made in these meetings, as informed by the Oncor representative.
Current Status:
Oncor is currently doing the following but not limited to:
Drawing up different routes to propose to the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
Research on any and all possible health risks the 765kV transmissions could cause.
Research on possible Native American burial sites, archeological sites etc.
Oncor will have the proposals and all required paperwork submitted to PUC of Texas in December 2025 but could be earlier or later.
When Oncor does submit the paperwork, that is when it is recommended for lot owners to submit to be an intervener, as soon as Oncor files the paperwork. As there is a 30 day window that starts as soon as the paperwork is filed that one (Lot Owner) can become an intervener. When that 30 day window closes, no one will be allowed to be an intervener.
Recommend going to the following site: TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECTS IN PROGRESS
Once the site pulls up, go to "Choose A Project" and select "Dinosaur - Longshore 765 kV Transmission Line Project"
Once on the page, recommend the following:
Review the copy of the public meeting material.
Review the Constraints Map. Twisted Creek Ranch is where Chappell Creek is labeled. It is the third page Figure 3-1C.
Call the Oncor Representatives regarding the Dinosaur – Longshore 765 kV Transmission Line Project at 214.486.5841 or
e-mail: transmissionprojects@oncor.com
If you call have your lot address readily available and they will be able to inform you how far your property is from the project line.
They'll also be able to answer any questions you have and confirm what is stated above as well.
Oncor representative stated if you are <=500ft from the transmission line you should have received a letter of notice.
Again to restate the following as this is the time you'll be able to have your voice heard:
Oncor will have the proposals and all required paperwork submitted to PUC of Texas in December 2025 but could be earlier or later.
When Oncor does submit the paperwork, that is when it is recommended for lot owners to submit to be an intervener, as soon as Oncor files the paperwork. As there is a 30 day window that starts as soon as the paperwork is filed that one (Lot Owner) can become an intervener. When that 30 day window closes, no one will be allowed to be an intervener.
Also, Lone Star National Land Partners have been contacted and inquired if they knew about this project. They stated no and it has been requested they provide this in writing. Once the letter is received, it will be posted here for download.
As new information is shared or learned from Oncor, it will be posted on this page.
Things could become outdated as Oncor makes changes without immediate notifications or how they notify the public, i.e. newspapers, social media etc..
